I'm actually contemplating programming my own software that will do all the things I want. Even things that appear trustworthy these days are often not. and of course greater security implications abound as well. My reasons are that potential for system abuse is quite high these days and getting rid of unwanted things can be quite a headache. I have not tried the free edition yet - I was asking if anyone else has as I don't particularly like installing trials without being fairly certain I will use the software. It seems that people with large collections and games scattered from many different sources would benefit from having a single catalog that tells which games are from where, what they own, what they've completed, and the ability to search and filter everything they have. however there is no way to add games on your local computer or which you own physical copies of that aren't from these companies, and the games lists are not merged. Yeah, I sort of figured that people tend to rely on either Steam or GOG library or the forthcoming GOG Galaxy or something like that.
